Students will get to use specialty glazes to make this beautiful, summery plate. We’ll use the a paper resist technique to ‘mask’ off our trees, then paint layers of brightly colored specialty glazes that have ‘kiln pop-rocks’ that bust open in the kiln making the fancy and unique colors seen on the plate above. At the end, we’ll add the finishing touches to the plate by outlining the trees and then give them their iconic black lines throughout the tree.
Projects will be finished to be picked up after firing in 7-10 days after class.
